Andrea Margida, M.S., Founder and President, has a long pedigree as an entrepreneur and educator. As president of TechGrit, her focus is on leveraging her experience to design and build unique entrepreneurial ecosystems, customized for the communities they serve. She is certified in International Business Incubation Management, a graduate of the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, serves on the Akron Public Schools Advisory Board for Entrepreneurship and Marketing, and is a graduate of the Women's Network Community Leadership Institute. Ms. Margida has taught science, technology, and nutrition at Ohio University, West Virginia University, and Walsh University.
Anthony J. Margida, Ph.D., Founder and CEO, accomplished entrepreneurial ecosystem architect, brings expertise to startup programing, accelerator design, equity investment, and private/public partnerships. As CEO of Akron Global Business Accelerator, he envisioned and spearheaded its transformation into an entrepreneurial super-hub creating 450 new jobs and securing $75 M in equity investment. Dr. Margida serves on the US Council on Competitiveness. As Director of Technology at HB Fuller he led development and commercialization of a waterbased adhesive offering an alternative to highly abused toluene based staple. His Magnetorheological Fluid (MR) patents are widely cited and are core to GM’s Magneride suspensions on one million vehicles.
